TMJ Disorders and Headaches from a Faulty Dental Bite The dental bite plays an important role in the good health and comfort of the jaw joints (TMJ) and chewing muscles about the face and neck. An improper alignment of the teeth can result in disorders of the TMJ, such as discomfort or popping noise. It may also contribute to tension in the muscles that lead to headache pain. As the bite is corrected, those problems can be improved or eliminated.
